At Home - Turning Knobs Around

‘HOME’ is where we all belong, but there’s something different when we are away from home but yet with ourselves.

Have you ever questioned yourself, What if you give yourself a chance to evolve around your mental boundaries & traps?

Aug 12th - Aug 15 These 4 days pushed us as youths to think beyond our thoughts of being away from home but yet in our homes of heart, mind & all our surroundings.

Our first day started off with a quick Introduction with putting down our insecurities in a bowl where each of us picked random insecurities about each other & tried to guess ‘WHOSE IT SHALL BE’. As humans every one of us were forced to think how someone’s insecurities can be your insecurities as well. This led us to interact & take a step forward to know each other. The crux of this space was to make ourselves comfortable with the other & say ‘I AM WITH YOU’.

As Sr. Charolette led us into meaningful life sessions it made us realize that: The core of this camp was to know our strengths, weaknesses, faults, insecurities & so on. What made me realize personally was

‘NOT EVERYONE KNOWS YOU AS YOURSELF, IT’S YOU WHO HAS TO PUSH & LET PEOPLE KNOW WHO YOU ARE’.

As we proceeded with the camp, each day made us push ourselves & the teams we were in to win with unity & to work on each other’s weaknesses. As we slipped into Day 3 a day to ALWAYS REMEMBER & CHERISH; Where we as individuals along with Fr. Cyril sat at ‘THE SUPPER’. This space gave a chance to pour out everything that we have within ourselves. We washed each other’s feet as ‘OUR LORD’ did to us. Love won when we all were at the table with the LORD for the supper. We ended up with a beautiful gesture, leaving little messages in the booklets we had received on the first day. A message of motivation, love & care that we shared with each other in these 4 days.

Indeed! We felt at home!
